Long past the first days of Dr. Funkenstein and Starchild, funkyouJEFF emerged from the vibrations of the Mothership. Ready to party and bring the beat wherever we go, funkyouJEFF is the hottest funkiest show.
Formed in the fall of 2018, funkyouJEFF features a group of friends from some of the top conservatories on earth such as The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, NYU, and The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Inspired deeply by the music of Parliament-Funkadelic themselves, but also their many shoot offs; especially Fred Wesley and his Horny Horns. Red Hawley’s funkyouJEFF has been firing up audiences and tranquilizing the followers of the Nation under a Groove. In June 2020, the group released their debut album the funkyouJEFF Sessions Vol. 1 to many pleased fans and now looks forward to several upcoming single releases.
